The main goal of a system analysis specialist is to find the optimal solution to problems in such a way that it does not generate new similar problems. System analysts use mathematical modeling and information technologies, decision-making theories, game theories, operations research theories, control theory, and optimization theory.
According to the "System Analysis and Control" educational program, students receive the qualification of a system analyst and acquire professional skills by studying the following courses:
Core courses:
- - Fundamentals of system analysis
- - System mathematics
- - Theory of control and forecasting in complex systems
- - Decision support methods
- - Modern programming technologies
- - Mathematical programming
- - Decision making in hierarchical systems
- - Decision making in conflict conditions
- - Analysis of time series for non-stationary processes
- - Analysis of business processes
- - Risk management
- - Bayesian networks and decision trees
- - Synergistic methods of analysis
